Long Forgotten Corvette Collection Rediscovered

Despite the chatter in the Corvette community and the occasional mention of Max or the Corvettes in the news, the collection slumbered on until 2010, when McDermon wrote an article in the New York Times. The article was apparently inspired by the fact that Max was having trouble finding a place to stash the cars, and had moved them out of McDermon’s building.
At the time in 2010, Max told McDermon he wanted to complete the project he had started so many years ago, but in a different way. He wanted to incorporate some of his most famous works by painting directly on the cars.
Some would think this is amazing art, some would argue that the cars are amazing art all on their own, without Max’s “contributions.”
